Meet Jesse Grimm – Founder of Island Aesthetics
I’m Jesse Grimm, owner and founder of Island Aesthetics Mobile Detailing in Bayport, NY. Detailing cars has been a lifelong passion built on simplicity, pride of ownership, and a deep appreciation for the craft.
Like many car enthusiasts, I dreamed of modifying and collecting vehicles—but growing up without the means to do all that, I focused on what I could: taking exceptional care of the car I had.
From the moment I was old enough to drive, I was cleaning, polishing, and perfecting every inch of my car. It wasn’t just about appearance—it was about creating something I could be proud of. That passion for detail grew into an obsession with precision and excellence.
How Island Aesthetics Began
In 2015, I started taking on detailing jobs for friends alongside one of my best friends. What began as a weekend side hustle, with a few spray bottles in milk crates, slowly started gaining momentum.
At the same time, I was building a career in the home improvement industry as a remodeling consultant. Life was moving forward, but the detailing spark never faded.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020 and I was furloughed from my corporate job, I decided it was time to bet on myself. That summer became a turning point. I officially registered Island Aesthetics as a business and never looked back.
For the next few years, I balanced both worlds—grinding week after week, building a loyal client base, perfecting my techniques, and saving for the day I could go full-time. In August 2023, I made the leap.
Growing a Reputation for Precision and Passion
Since going full-time, Island Aesthetics Mobile Detailing has grown beyond what I ever imagined. Today, I specialize in premium services like paint correction and ceramic coatings, and I’ve had the privilege of working on everything from exotic supercars to award-winning classics, daily drivers, motorcycles, and boats.
Along the way, I’ve earned recognition from respected brands like The Rag Company and Cerakote, trained with Rupes, and became a certified GlassParency installer.
